Massachusetts General Law Chapter 200A, Section 9A provides Municipal Treasurers a procedure for disposing of funds held by the Town that are deemed abandoned. This process is known as "tailings".

To claim funds, you will need to complete and submit an "Abandoned Funds Claim Form" to the Treasurer. Please note - the Treasurer may request additional documentation to validate a claim. Once all necessary documentation is submitted, the Treasurer will review the claim and, if deemed to be valid, will submit for a check to be reissued.
